Halloween Snack

2 bags buttered corn puffs (found in the potato chip section) like Cheetos without
the cheese powder
2 sticks butter or oleo
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup (like Karo)
1 heaping teaspoon baking soda

Preheat oven 250 degrees. Place corn puffs in a large roasting pan & set aside. In a large saucepan, bring to a boil, the butter, brown sugar & corn syrup. Boil rapidly for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add baking soda & stir in (mixture will foam). Remove from heat & pour over the corn puffs. Mix to coat puffs. Place in oven & bake for 45 minutes - stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven & dump out on waxed paper to cool. When cool, break apart & store in air-tight container or zip bag. ENJOY!!
